Harold D. Williamson, age 91, passed away at Hildebrandt Hospice in Rochester, on August 21, 2022, surrounded by his loving Children.
Harold was born in Romulus, New York on October 3, 1930, son of the late Ira and Margaret (Potts) Williamson, he joined the US Army in 1951 and proudly served during the Korean Conflict. Harold and Janice loved to travel on their Gold Wing and later in their motorhome. He worked within the Wegmans company for over 23 years and following his retirement from the Teamsters Unions he enjoyed wintering in Florida with his wife. Harold spent many active years with the American Legion and Local VFW as well as a volunteer fireman with the Gates Fire Department and loved to watch and root for the Buffalo Bills hoping every year they would get it done.
He leaves behind with great memories his loving wife of 70 years, Janice (Hannon); three children, Donald (Debra) Williamson, Margaret Schue, and Patricia (Al) DiFranco, 7 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren, his sister-in-law, Joyce Williamson and several nieces and nephews and will be sadly missed by all.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Walt Williamson, Helen “Sis” Bailey, Ira Williamson Jr., and Eleanor “Pooch” Lent.
Services with military honors will be held at later date.
