Patricia S. Travis

Patricia S. Travis, age 75, of 5534 State Route 96, died at her home on Monday, March 27, 2023 following years of declining health.

The family will receive friends at Covert Funeral Home on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 10:00am to 11:00am. A scripture service will then be held at 11:00am, led by Fr. James Fennessey.  Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Varick.

Pat was born in Oneonta on July 16, 1947, a daughter of the late Gilbert H. and Susan (nee Clum) Travis Sr.  Over the course of her career she had attended RIT, Cobleskill Tech School and FLCC where she studied as a dietician and for nursing.  Pat used her training at Taylor Brown Hospital as an LPN and at SenCayuga ARC as an aide, health issues forced her retirement in 1986.

She was the youngest of the 16 children of the “Travis Clan” and is survived by her brother, Thomas Travis and sister, Molly Messmer; her longtime partner, Carol Peebles and many nieces and nephews, her beloved pets, Amish friends, and caregiver, Rebecca Wilson.
