A. Delong Beverly

Beverly Ann Delong, age 74, of Interlaken passed away at Geneva General Hospital on Wednesday, January 20, 2016.

The family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 So. Main Street, Ovid. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks those that would like to make a contribution in Beverly❜s memory to kindly consider donating to a local fire department or ambulance corps or the South Seneca Central School Backpack Program, c/o Emilee Broadwell, 7263 S. Main Street, Ovid, NY 14521.

Beverly was born in Seneca Falls on March 25, 1941, a daughter of the late Robert and Fredrica (Wright) Smith. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved watching her grandchildren. Beverly enjoyed crocheting, camping, and fishing with her husband.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 48 years, Winfield Delong; step daughter, Cindy Delong; four children, Sherrie Finch, Lawanda Delong, Donna (Richard) Dickens, and Adam Delong; nine grandchildren, Frank (Bobbi Jo) VanHouten III, Amanda Dickens, Ashley Finch, Anna Dickens, John Finch III, Austin Delong, Colin Delong, Amelia Dickens, and Blake Delong; three great grandchildren, David, Joseph and Brianne VanHouten; brother, Stephen (Nancy) Smith; sister, Linda Smith; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley McMillen; brother, Pete Smith; brother in law, Guy Delong; and niece Lori McMillen.
