A. James Janet

Janet A. James, age 92, longtime resident of State Route 89, passed away at Geneva General Hospital on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

Janet was born in Rutland, VT on June 15, 1926, a daughter of the late Cyril and Louise (Fredette) Webster. She graduated from Poughkeepsie High School, and soon thereafter married Norman James of Lodi. While helping her husband on the farms, she worked at Cronk❜s Dairy in Interlaken and then with Charles Jennings law and insurance office. After moving to their Cayuga Lake home in Fayette, she worked at Royce & Rosencrans Insurance Co. in Seneca Falls for over 26 years. She had been a member of the former Lodi Methodist Church, and attended the Interlaken Reformed Church, in addition to being a member of the South Seneca Chapter of the Order of the Easter Star for over 50 years.

Janet is survived by her son, Donald (Diane) James of Baldwinsville; grandchildren, Michael ‶Henry″ James of Trumansburg and Dennis (Leslie) James of Fulton and their daughters, Jasmine and Jadelyn; her sisters, Barbara Nichols and Nancy Lampaisi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman in 2006.
