A. Gere Judy

Judy Ann Gere, 56, of Romulus, NY went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Saturday November 18, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Judy was born July 3, 1961 to the late Thaddeus Subyak and Glenda Whitaker Subyak in Niagara Falls, NY. She resided in Rochester until 2001 when she and her daughters moved to Romulus.
Judy graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School in 1978. She was a hard-working individual, most recently employed at Keystone Mills in Romulus, but her primary focus was always her family.

She recently married her soul mate of 23 years, Chuck. Together, they raised two daughters, Sheree and Julia. Judy took pride in her family and friends. She loved her home on Cayuga Lake where she enjoyed her many gardens, cooking out, and the simplicity of country living. Syracuse basketball and NASCAR were two of her favorite past times. In her spare time you could usually find her reading a good book.

Judy is survived by her husband Chuck, daughters Sheree Galipeau (John) Geneva, NY and Julia Galipeau (Katheryn) Syracuse, NY, and son William (Nicole) Essig, Rochester, NY, granddaughter Audree Galipeau, Mother Glenda Subyak, siblings Michael and Sharon, sibling in-laws Deborah Feingold (Barnet), Robert Gere (Lise), and Mary Ellen Gere-Penna (Jerry), along with many nieces and nephews. Judy❜s loving soul will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her father, Thaddeus Subyak, and parents-in-law Howard and M. Dorintha Gere.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in Judy❜s memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
