Alethea R. (Orman) Cratsley

Alethea R. Cratsley, age 71, of Ovid passed away at Rochester General Hospital surrounded by family on Thursday, July 29, 2021.

Alethea was born in Seneca Falls on June 14, 1950, a daughter of the late Wray and Elizabeth (Huff) Orman. She was a lifelong resident of the Ovid area and returned to South Seneca High School as an adult graduating with the class of 1977. She worked in food service at Willard Psychiatric Center before working at the Willard Drug Treatment Center. Alethea retired after 31 and a half years of service. She was an active member of the Auxiliary of Union Veterans for many years.

Alethea is survived by four children, Arlene (Donald) Welch of Savona, Tina (Todd) Hoad of Prattsburg, Colleen Casey of Ovid, and Christina (Anthony III) Sava; fourteen grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Eugene; and two sisters, Lucille and Kathleen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her partner, Steven E. Randall in 2015; a sister, Esther; and a great granddaughter.
