B. Willson Winifred

Winifred B. ‶Winnie″ Willson, age 87, longtime resident of Knight Street, passed away at Serenity House Hospice on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.

A Celebration of Winnie❜s life will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Lodi Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Barbara Schwartz. Friends are invited to attend a luncheon, hosted by the family at the Lodi Fire House, following services. Prayers of committal will be held privately at Lake View Cemetery in Interlaken. Winnie was born in Lodi on October 6, 1930, a daughter of the late Verner and Pearl (Huff) Jennings. She was a graduate of Ovid High School and was married to John R. Willson on February 6, 1949. Winnie worked for many years as the cafeteria manager at South Seneca Elementary School until her retirement, after which, she and John wintered in Estero, Florida. John and Winnie were avid square dancers, often attending 3-4 dances a week, after they retired.

Winnie is survived by her sons; Robert (Vickie) Willson of Colfax, NC, David Willson of Farmington, NY, grandchildren; Matthew and Daniel Willson, Abigail (Adam) Bull, Courtney (Jay) Horny and Ryan Willson, great grandchildren; Bruce Horny, Zoe and Jaxon Bull. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 2012 and by her brother and sister in law, Richard (Elise) Jennings.
