Barbara C. Wilson, age 81, formerly of Potter Road, died on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Cayuga Medical Center.
Barb was born in Lodi on December 8, 1942, a daughter of the late George and Nora (nee Peterson) Everts. She was a lifelong resident of the Lodi and Interlaken areas and had worked in the housekeeping department at Willard Psychiatric Center until it’s closure. She then briefly worked at Cayuga Medical Center until her retirement. Her best times were those spent with her family, both immediate and extended. She could be found at home watching old Western shows, listening to Elvis and Shania Twain. She was able to spend the past several years living with her sister Betty, where she could enjoy the farm, family and watching the ducks on the pond while working her puzzle books.
Barb is survived by her children, Larry (Kathy) Wilson of Waterloo, Bob (Paula Smith) Wilson of Lodi, Connie Moore of Interlaken and Rachel (Andy) Coney of Ovid; her grandchildren, Benjamin Nichols, April (Brian) Campbell, Sarah (Nick) Predmore, John (Whitney) Wilson, Colleen Moore, Cheyenne (Burt Brown) Coney, Sierra (Adam) Miller and Cole (Bre) Wilson; her great grandchildren, Rene and Taylor Campbell, Jackson and Clayton Wilson, Calvin Brown and Maya Wilson; her siblings, Betty Weber and Jim Everts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard in 2017; her grandson, Donnie Parish; her siblings, Mary Jane Wood, George Everts, Margaret Reeves, Bill Everts, Elinor “Sue” Weber, and Dick Everts, and her beloved mother in law, Ella Mae Yonge and her husband, Ralph.
At Barb’s request, a private interment was held at Ovid Union Cemetery.
