Beatrice E. (Nee Nivison) Licak

Beatrice E. Licak, age 90, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Geneva General Hospital.

Bea was born on January 11,1933 in Alhambra, CA, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Adelle (nee Heisel) Nivison. She was a graduate of the Ovid High School class of 1952. She was a faithful attendee of Christ Church in Willard where she was organist and treasurer for many years.  Her working career made her well-traveled starting in Willard, then Sampson, moving to Rochester-Psych and Newark and finishing her career with the Interlaken Group Home. She took up many roles in the community, being a member of the American Legion Post 463 Auxiliary, and a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary at VFW Post 6200 for over 50 years, where she served as President for over a decade. She also served many years as Romulus Town Clerk.

Bea is survived by her son, Michael Scoles of Conway, AR; grandchildren, David Scoles and Nicholas (Dani) Scoles of Conway, AR; siblings, Albert (Rose Ann) Nivison of Willard, NY and Ethel Williams of Lodi, NY; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph J. Licak and siblings Roland Nivison and Maxine Utterback.

Calling hours will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Willard, NY on Friday February 24, 2023 from 11:00-1:00 pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at Seneca-Union Cemetery in Valois after the service. The family invites you to VFW Post 6200 in Ovid after the burial.
