Betty Jean Rogers

Betty Jean Rogers, age 96, of Ovid passed away at the Pathway Home surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 29, 2025.

Services will be held privately for family. In lieu of flowers the family asks those that would like to make a contribution in Betty’s memory to kindly consider Pathway Home of the Finger Lakes, PO Box 516, Seneca Falls, NY 13148.

Betty was born in Waterloo, New York on March 5, 1929, a daughter of the late Paul and Sadie (nee Guilfoos) Olsowske. Betty was a very dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to nurturing and supporting her loved ones. Her unyielding commitment to her husband and family was evident in all aspects of her life. Betty took tremendous pride in caring for her home and creating a warm and inviting environment for all who entered.

Together with her beloved husband, Albert "Bud" Rogers, Betty enjoyed visiting family and friends in the Thousand Islands and Canada, these excursions became treasured memories.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Chamberlain; granddaughter, Megan (Charlie) Mullins; great grandsons, Harry and Auggie Mullins; several nieces and nephews; and son-in-law of several years, Don Chamberlain, and his children; Sue, Jeff (Joli) and David (Laura). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert “Bud” Rogers; sisters, Lyra and Doris (Earl) Warne; brothers, Stuart and William (Jessica); grandson, Doug Chamberlain; and nephews, Scott Wimmer, Larry Smith and Stuart Olsowske Jr; in-laws Earl and Dorthea Rogers, Alma (Herbert) Smith and Shirley (Claude) Reff.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Schuyler Hospital as well as all of the staff and volunteers at the Pathway Home.
