Belva C. Bradley, age 87, former longtime resident of Ovid and Seneca Falls, died in Syracuse on March 12, 2018.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 South Main Street in Ovid. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Holy Cross Church in Ovid, with prayers of committal at Holy Cross Cemetery. Belva was born in Ulysses, PA, one of twelve children born to Frank and Carrie (House) Converse. She attended Ovid Central School and had worked at Sampson State Hospital and Willard Psychiatric Center before transferring to Hutchings Psychiatric Center in Syracuse. She retired as the stores clerk from Hutchings in 1995, after 33 years of state service. Belva had lived at Brookdale in Liverpool for the past several years, after moving to Syracuse from Seneca Falls.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Wayne) Sincebaugh of Ovid and Nancy Whitford of Cicero; her grandchildren, Jessica Jones of Puyallup, WA, Eric Sincebaugh of Willow Spring, NC and Kelly Hines of Liverpool; her great grandchildren, Salan, Tyren and Grace Anne Jones, McKenzie Sincebaugh, Kaiden, Carter, Jakson and Avery Hines. Belva was preceded in death by her husband, James Bradley in 1995, and by her 11 siblings.
