ROMULUS-Carlton R. “Carl” Klossner, age 74 of Romulus, passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00am on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, with full military honors..
Carl was born in Geneva on January 1, 1947, one of seven children to the late Karl and Marguerite (Decker) Klossner. An Air Force Master Sargent for over 22 years Carl proudly and honorably served his country. Upon retirement from the Air Force Carl enjoyed over 10 years driving a school bus for the Clark County School District in Nevada before returning home to Upstate New York. A past commander at the VFW in Waterloo NY, Carl was actively involved with many local veterans’ organizations. If you knew Carl you know he always lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by his daughter, Darlene (Keith) Clough of Interlaken; his granddaughters Brittani of Geneva and Cassidy of Interlaken; his brothers, Roger (Sue) Klossner of DeWittville and Harold (Patricia) Klossner of Geneva; his sisters, Beverly Gardner of Berkshire and Carol Ann Tyo of Shortsville. Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy in 1997 and his sisters, Grace and Gloria.
