Carmen M. Perez

Carmen M. Perez, age 81 of State Route 414, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 15, 2021.

Services will be held privately on Saturday, November 20, 2021 with burial at West Lodi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Carmen’s memory to the Ovid Ecumenical Food Pantry or the Interlaken Food Pantry.

Carmen was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on July 16, 1940, and moved to the US in 1943. She was married to Andres Perez at Holy Cross Church in Ovid, and they both worked at Seneca Army Depot. She went on to work as a nurse’s aide at the Margaret Ayer Nursing Home in Geneva, a job she enjoyed for many years. Family was everything to the Perez family, and Carmen loved to be surrounded by her many children and grandchildren. Just know if you loved her, she loved you more.

She is survived by her children; Abrian Perez of Jacksonville, NY, Carmen (Tom Edwards) Perez of Lock, NY, Magnilda (Tony) Pesco of Interlaken, Amelia (Bill) Brewer of Lodi; her brother, Jose Santiago of Seneca Falls and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband Andres Sr. in 2001, her son, Andres Jr. in 2014, a step sister, Carmen West, and a brother, Miguel Rodriguez.
