Chester S. Goslicki, age 86, of Ovid passed away at Geneva General Hospital on Friday, March 26, 2021
Prayers of Committal will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery on April 27th at 11:00am. The family asks those that would like to make a contribution in Chester’s memory to kindly consider South Seneca Ambulance, 2011 Route 96A, Ovid, NY 14521.
Chester was born in Romulus on April 27, 1934 a son of the late Michael and Frances (Tomzak) Goslicki. He worked at the Seneca Army Depot for 28 years, retiring in 1995. Following his retirement he worked part time at the Ovid Hardware Store, Hipshot in Interlaken, and the Parish Gas Station.
Chester was a member of South Seneca Ambulance serving for 5 years as the secretary and for 10 years as a driver. He also was a life member of the South Seneca Sportsmen’s Club and was a Boy Scout leader for several years.
Chester is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elinor Kuney Goslicki; two children, Nancy Baker and William Goslicki; nephews, Henry Brown, Thomas (Danielle Warner) Brown, and Edward (Christine Williams) Brown; niece, Joanne Brown; neighbor, Tom Robinson; and all of his Amish friends. In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his sisters, Cassie Noris, Christine Goslicki, and Nellie Brown.
