Connie L. (Blanchard) Gable

Connie L. Gable, age 81, longtime resident of West Blaine Road, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, September 26, 2022.

A graveside service will be held privately at Ovid Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Connie’s memory to Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 East River Street, Waterloo, NY 13165

Connie was born in Montour Falls on April 4, 1941, a daughter of the late Earl and Winifred (nee White) Blanchard. She began her working career at Sampson State Hospital, and then transitioned to Willard Psychiatric Center, where she had a long career as a therapy aide, retiring in 1995. Connie was an avid bird watcher and went to great lengths to feed them. She loved her dachshunds, crossword puzzles and being outdoors.  Connie enjoyed life, and most of all, loved her family.

She is survived by her children; Howard (Kristy) Gable Jr. of Ovid and Deborah Bardeen Edwards of Willard, her grandchildren; Andrea (Wayne) Hill, Chelsea Feligno and Cierra Gable, 6 great grandchildren; and her brother, Larry Blanchard. Connie was preceded in death by her grandsons, Brandon Gable, Bryce Hill and Johnny Feligno, and sisters, Sandra Saylor and Geri Starkweather.
