Dana M. Speegle

Romulus, NY/Crosby, TX –Dana M. Speegle, 47,  of Crosby, TX, passed away on 29 April 2021 at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital, Baytown, TX unexpectedly.  Dana was surrounded by his family.

Dana was born 23 May 1973 in Waterloo, NY, son of Michael (deceased) and Linda Speegle.  Dana’s growing up years were spent in Denver, CO, Landstuhl, West Germany and Romulus, NY.  Dana was a 1992 graduate of Romulus High School.  Shortly after graduation, Dana moved to Little Creek, Virginia with his sister, Shawn, and then to Texas with a friend.

Dana is survived by his mother, Linda L Waterman, Rochester, NY., step-father Larry G. (Judy) Waterman, Claysville, PA., his sister, Shawn A Johnson, of Rochester, NY., Brandon (Mandy) Waterman of Johnsonburg, PA, Aunts Melanie (Kevin) Arnold, Cortland, NY, Connie McDivitt, Evansville, IN and Uncle Gerald (Jeanie) Houseknecht, Evansville, IN and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; Donna Smith, Crosby, TX (family friend) and his best friend, Bill Benzing of Clarksville, TN.  He will be missed by his co-workers and friends at the Walmart Store #522 in Crosby, TX. He was known for his sense of humor and compassion.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael B. Speegle , maternal grandparents Martje and Robert Houseknecht,  paternal grandmother, Marie Layson,  and one niece, Chelsea.

There will be a Celebration of Dana’s Life at the Romulus Fire House on June 12th 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00pm.  Food will be provided.
