Daniel F. Peltz

Daniel F. “Danny” Peltz, age 77, of Trumansburg passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Friday, April 1, 2022.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00pm on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 Main Street Ovid.  A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00pm at the funeral home. Prayers of committal will follow at Ovid Union Cemeter.  In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Danny’s memory to First Baptist Church of Interlaken or Trumansburg Ambulance.

Danny was born in Camden, New Jersey on May 13, 1944, a son of the late David and Mary (Gallagher) Peltz. He worked at Willard Psychiatric Center for many years. An avid lover of trains, Danny volunteered at Tioga Central Railroad. In recent years, he became closer to the Lord and became a member of First Baptist Church in Interlaken.

He is survived by his siblings Gwen Martz of Syracuse, Bill (Karen) Peltz of Houston, TX, and Margaret (Thom Trause) Cupp of Ithaca; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brother in law, Tedd Martz.
