David M. Siurano

David M. Siurano, age 70 of 1731 Gilbert Road, died at Strong Memorial Hospital on Monday, August 15, 2022, following a brief hospitalization.

The family will receive friends at Covert Funeral Home in Ovid on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, and will then host a Celebration of Life at the Ovid American Legion until 8:00pm.  Kindly consider a donation in David’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.

David was born in Brooklyn on March 1, 1952, a son of the late Francisco and Isabel Siurano.  David worked hard his whole life to provide for his family. He worked as a painter independently and for Kimball Real Estate in Ithaca for several years. He loved all of his children unconditionally and his love for his grandchildren was unmeasurable. David loved music, playing his congas, cooking (feeding us even when we weren’t hungry) and was well known for his dance moves.   David was a patron/member of the Ovid VFW and American Legion Auxiliary.

He is survived by his children - Alicia (Nate) Kelley of Watkins Glen and thier children, Sophia and Vincent, David (Jessica) Siurano of Interlaken and their children, Devon and Kara, Jeffrey (Daisy) Siurano of Ovid; a daughter, Evie (Christopher) Campbell of Georgia and their children, Jared, Briana, Blake and Jasmine; his brothers, Frank (Laura) and Andy Siurano; sisters, Ruth Davilla and Ramona LeBron; the mother of his 3 youngest children, Vonnie Sheppard of Florida and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Norma Guadalupe, Iris Cohen and Tita O’Neill.
