E. Scharett Frances

Frances E. Scharett, age 68, died on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Geneva General Hospital, following an extended illness.

Fran was born on September 17, 1947 in Lodi, the only daughter of the late Donald S. and Gertude (Camp) Bradley. Her mother died at a very young age, and Fran quickly assumed the responsibly of helping her father to care for her two brothers. She had lived in the Cortland area for some time, and returned to Seneca County, eventually working in the dietary department at Seneca Nursing & Rehab for more than 12 years. Following her retirment and due to failing health, she became a resident there, and was actively involved in orgaizing and assiting with resident activities.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Kimbra Covert) Scharett of Blackstone, VA, and Marie (Lloyd Webster) of Gorham, NY; her grandchildren, Casey and Coty Scharett of Virginia and Austin, Chelsea, Dustin and Connor Webster of Gorham; great grandchildren, Hannah, Steven and Rose; her brothers, Bill and Sam Bradley. Fran was preceded in death by her son, James A. Scharett in 1989.
