Gregory E. Martin, age 64, of 2897 Darling Road, passed away at home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 24, 2015.
Greg was born on March 30, 1950 in Charleston, West Virginia, a son of the late Charles and Betty (Smith) Martin. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. He and his family moved to the area in 1981, when he took a position at Seneca Army Depot. Upon the closure of the Depot, he transferred to the VA Medical Center in Canandaigua, where he worked as a plumber, retiring in 2008.
Greg is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna; his children, Laura C. (Brandon) Hodgdon of Seal Cove, ME, Melissa M. (Michael) DeGaray of Interlaken, Gregory E. (Sarah) Martin II of Burdett, David F. (Connie) Martin of Freeville, and Dustin L. (Heidi) Martin of Minot, ND; grandchildren, William E. Shepherd, Amelia R. and Vivian Martin; and a great grandson, William E. “WES” Shepherd; and his siblings, Darla Williamson, Kevin and Sherman Martin all of New Jersey.
