Steven E. Randall, age 69, of Ovid passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, February 22, 2015.

Services will be held privately for family in the Spring of 2015. The family asks for those who would like to make a contribution in Steven’s memory to kindly consider Shriners Hospital for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.

Steven was born in Wayland on March 4, 1945, a son of the late George and Sadie (Beman) Randall. He graduated from Hornell High School and worked various jobs driving trucks, cutting logs, and farming. A jack of all trades, Steven enjoyed woodworking, cooking, hunting, fishing, welding, and doing mechanic work. He was a faithful friend, always willing to lend a hand when a friend or family members needed help. A devoted partner, father, and grandfather, Steven will be deeply missed by his entire family.

Steven is survived by his significant other, Alethea Cratsley; daughter, Tina (Todd) Hoad; three step daughters, Arleen (Donnie) Welsh, Colleen (Robert) Casey, and Christina (Anthony) Sava; three sisters, Mary (Mark) Davidson, April (Roger) Brown, Laural (Sandie) Randall; five brothers, Bert “Jim” (Carol), Walter (Robin), Paul (Marge), and Jack (Pam) Randall; four grandchildren, Steven, Danielle, Cory, and Kirk Hoad; ten step grandchildren, Tayna Cratsley, Craig, Christopher, and Matthew Welsh, Anthony, Brandon, Cayli, and Zachery Casey, and Katherine, AJ, and Elizabeth Sava; several step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Terboss; and a brother, George “Spud” Randall.
