F. Copeland Howard

Howard F. Copeland, age 83, of Willard passed away at Geneva General Hospital on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.

Burial will take place at Sampson Veteran❜s Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

Howard was born in Litchfield, Illinois on December 4, 1932, a son of the late Marion and Rossetta (Loague) Copeland. He joined the United States Army in 1953 and honorably served his country for 30 years before retiring in 1983. While in the service, Howard traveled to 19 countries and was the Command Sergeant Major at the Seneca Army Depot. Following his retirement from the military, Howard worked for 16 years at Wal-Mart in Geneva in the hardware department. Howard was a member of the Ovid VFW and American Legion.

Howard is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ursula Copeland; four children; three step children; five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; and several nephews.
