F. "Jack" Kopsa John

John F. ‶Jack″ Kopsa, age 71, formerly of Lodi, passed away at Beechtree Center in Ithaca, where he had been a resident since 1997.

A Memorial Service will be held at Covert Funeral Home in Ovid, at 4:00pm on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Jack was born in Seneca Falls on December 12, 1946, the eldest son of the late John H. and Margaret (Wilkins) Kopsa. He was a graduate of Interlaken High School, and had worked at Ithaca Gun, Morse Chain and prior to his illness, at Tompkins County Department of Social Services.

He is survived by his son, John (Rachell) Kopsa of Lodi and their daughter, Kendra; his siblings, Cathy (Sharon Peterson) Kopsa of Lodi and James Kopsa of Florida; a nephew, Eben Kopsa and his cousin, Carolyn Martin of Ovid. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his sister in law, Kathy Kopsa.
