Victor F. Skozewski, age 92, formerly of West Seneca Street, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Geneva Living Center North.
The family will receive friends at Covert Funeral Home on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 11:00am to 12:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church in Ovid at 1:00pm on Thursday, prayers of committal will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in Geneva. Victor was born on October 16, 1925 in the Town of Romulus, the son of the late Stanley and Sophie (Piekazwicz) Skokzewski. He was a graduate of Romulus High School and enjoyed a long career as a therapy aide at Willard Psychiatric Center. He was a lifetime member of the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge and the South Seneca Sportsmen❜s Club. He was married late in life to Virginia Larsen, and together they created beautiful gardens and landscapes at their ‶house of many gables″ in Ovid. He was devoted to Ginny and her care, together they moved to Geneva Living Center where they both received exceptional care.
He is survived by his niece and nephews, Walt (Peggy) McGough, Ron (Gloria) McGough and Jean (John) Moak, and by Ginny❜s children and their families, Eldon (Kathy) Larsen, Allen (Karen) Larsen, Dale (Teri) Larsen, Russell (Lynn) Larsen, and Chris (Karen) Larsen, Linda (Rick) Van Nostrand, Cynthia (James) Moran, and Carolyn (Thomas) Larsen-Wieber. Victor was preceded in death by his wife, Ginny in 2017, and by a sister, Tekla ("Tilly") and her husband, Gerald McGough.
