Frances H. (Faulhaber) Gable

Frances H. Gable, age 85, passed away peacefully at Highland Hospital in Rochester with family by her side on Saturday, May 28, 2022.

Frances was born in New York, New York on June 11, 1936, the daughter of the late Herman P. and Hildegarde Faulhaber.  She retired after 25 years of state service as a Mental Health Therapy Aide from Willard Psychiatric Center.  Following her retirement she stayed very active in the Ovid and Romulus community.

Frances’ greatest joy was her family.

She and her husband enjoyed traveling, auctions and yard sales.  She enjoyed her gardens, old movies, reading, crocheting and word searches.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph E. Gable; her children Martin C. Blake Jr., Frances A. (Michael) Ferrara, Catherine M. (Jim) Gabriel and William P. (Julie) Blake, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, and the father of her children, Martin C. Blake in 1992.

The family will be present to receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 Main Street, Ovid, NY. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, 5305 Kings Corner Road, Romulus, NY 14541.
