On 16 November 1939, she married Jack Filson Frick and they resided at Rouseville until his death on 13 Feb 1949 at the age of 33, leaving Lucille a young widow with three young boys. In 1961, a state contract relocated them from Pennsylvania to Ovid, New York with seven children. In 1963, they purchased the Gulf Fueling and Service Station in Ovid.
