George D. Gordy Sr.

George D. Gordy Sr., passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.

George was born in Claxton, Georgia on November 4, 1930, a son of the late Charlie and Vertilee (Kirby) Gordy.  A master plumber and owner operator of GPP Inc., George also served his country in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his children, Lori (Daniel Gallegos) Gordy, Lisa (Gary Jr.) Covert; his grandchildren, Dalin and Luke Gordy, Brittney Poyuzina; and his extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda (Ziegler) Gordy in 2000 and his brother, Ernest Gordy in 2006.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
