Glenn A. Bixby age 63, passed away on March 6, 2025, at the home of his brother in Ovid, New York, following a tough struggle with cancer. Born on July 5, 1961, in Waterloo, he embodied the spirit of a free soul, dedicating his life to both work and play.
Glenn brought his skills to life as a carpenter and HVAC technician. He embraced the fast life, always working hard and playing hard, qualities that endeared him to many who were fortunate enough to know him. His love for beach life perfectly mirrored his vibrant personality—warm, relaxed, and full of joy.His spirit will forever be remembered by those who knew him, as we honor a life well-lived and a friend well-loved.
He is survived by a loving family, including his brothers, James V. Higgins of Willard, Mark V. (Linda) Higgins of Wichita, Kansas, and Richard D. (Deborah) Bixby of Ovid; his sisters, Janet (David) Kelleher of Seneca Falls, Jane Allen of Wichita, KS and Victoria Higgins of Seneca Falls, along with many nieces and nephews who cherished him deeply. Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Richard K. Bixby, and his mother, Joan P. Higgins and by sisters, Susan Coleman and Kathy Higgins
A memorial service to celebrate Glenn's life will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Covert Funeral Home in Ovid, New York. Burial will be held privately at Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo.
