Gwendolyn Ann (Nee Dhondt) Hayes

Gwendolyn Ann (nee Dhondt) Hayes, 71, of Ovid, NY, entered into eternal rest on January 10, 2023 surrounded by family.

She bravely and gracefully battled cancer, and while she didn’t lose that battle, she opted for peace and comfort instead of war on her terms.

Gwen was predeceased by her biological father Lewis Dhondt, her loving stepfather Jean Spafford, and her best friend and mother Adelaide Spafford.

Gwen is survived by her loving husband of 50 years - Dennis Hayes of Ovid, NY, son Daniel (Heather) Hayes of Watertown, CT, daughter Kimberly (Taylor) Partee of Seneca Falls, NY, granddaughters Aubrea Partee of Sidney Center, NY, Sara Partee of Seneca Falls, NY, Grace Hayes of Seymour, CT, Ava Hayes of Watertown, CT and her beloved joy great granddaughter Scarlett Newell of Sidney Center, NY.
