Joseph H. Klue, age 72, of Romulus, passed away at home on Sunday, November 2, 2014.

The family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 So. Main Street, Ovid. The family will also receive friends on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00am at the funeral home. Funeral Services will immediately follow at the funeral home at 11:00am. The family asks those who would like to make a donation in Joe’s memory to kindly consider the Wilmot Cancer Institute, University of Rochester Medical Center, 601 Elmwood Ave., Box 704, Rochester, NY 14642.

Joe was born on August 30, 1942, the oldest child of the late Francis and Mildred (Choate) Klue. He was employed at Willard Psychiatric Center in refrigeration and maintenance for 35 years. For several years, Joe taught hunter safety courses and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He excelled at woodworking and was a friend and “grandpa” to everyone.

Joe is survived by his two children, Barbara Klue and Michael (Carrie) Klue; grandchildren, Amy (Walter Jr.) Wech, Michael Ackerman, Nathan Poorman-Robson, Carly Bates-Thomas, and Holly Klue; step children, Larry, Cathy, Laurie, Betty, and Stephen; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; life partner, Patricia Lyons and her children, Lisa Lyons-Orlopp and James T. Lyons; four siblings, Sylvia (Denny) Goodman, John (Maryanne) Klue, Jim (Marcia) Klue, and Sandy (Cliff) Hardin; and a special niece, Stacy Mulford. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his first and second wives, Betty Lou and Cathy; and a great granddaughter, Mikaela Rose Werner.
