H. Mero Linda

Linda H. Mero, age 59, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Route 96, on Monday, February 27, 2017.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Covert Funeral Home on Main Street in Ovid. A scripture service will then be at 3:00 pm at the funeral home, led by Fr. William Fennessy of the St. Francis/St. Clare Parish. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask you to kindly consider a donation in Linda❜s memory to Strong Memorial Hospital. Linda was born in Cutchogue, Long Island on October 18, 1957. After high school she received her Associate❜s degree in secretarial science from SUNY Cobleskill in 1977. Linda had a long career with Gould❜s Pumps and ITT in Seneca Falls, retiring as a credit analyst in 2009, due to an ongoing fight with liver disease and cancer, both of which she had since overcome. Linda❜s time was now spent enjoying the hard fought health by spending her free time with her loving grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Meghan Ann (Kyle) Patchen, and Richard Joseph (Kelli) Mero; her beloved grandchildren, Dominique, Davina, Cadence and Analia, all of Romulus; her siblings, Kathleen Murphy, Paul and Joe Mitchel; and a host of extended family. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Mitchell and Winnifred Mitchell-Lyons, a grandson, Dion Mero and the father of her children, Richard Mero.
