J. Wright Betty

Betty J. Wright, age 82, longtime resident of West Avenue, passed away at CMC on Sunday, January 28, 2018.

Betty was born in Ovid on December 8, 1935, a daughter of the late Tracy and Grace (Williams) Everett. She graduated from Interlaken Central School and retired in 1997 from CMC❜s purchasing department. Betty was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, but most of all, loved her family and the joy they brought to her.

She is survived by her daughters, Trudy Updike of Interlaken, Terry (Jeff) Smith of Spring Hill, FL, Teressa Mozeley of Lodi, Carol Sue Wright of Dunnellon, FL; 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; a brother, Tracy Everett Jr. and a sister, Joyce Quann of FL. Betty was preceded in death by her husbands; Lawrence Rozelle in 1959, and James E. Wright in 1997, by a daughter, Patty A. Snyder in 2010 and a granddaughter, Rebecca Jackson in 2016.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00pm on Thursday, February 1st at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 South Main Street in Ovid. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Tim Hamilton will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 2nd at the funeral home, prayers of committal will be held at Lake View Cemetery in Interlaken.
