Clarissa J. ‶Chris″ Lynch, age 79, passed away peacefully at Cayuga Medical Center on Sunday, February 28, 2016.

Clarissa was born in Watertown, on September 14, 1936, the daughter of the late Leon and Cornelia (Lennox) Kilborn of Cape Vincent. She briefly resided in the Albany area and North Carolina, but spent most of her adult life in the Finger Lakes. She worked as a therapy aide and program coordinator at Willard Psychiatric Center. She received her Associates Degree from FLCC while she worked at Willard. After retiring from Willard she returned to school and completed training as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She then worked as a private duty dialysis nurse. She also enjoyed working at South Seneca Central Schools in several capacities.

Chris is survived by her children: Peggy (Jim) Mahoney of Newburgh, NY, Cyndi (John) Anderson of Tampa, FL, Bob (Marge) Johnson of Horseheads, NY and Chris (Tony) Vaughan of Willard, NY and her many treasured grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step children; Sharon Anne (Chuck) Maile of Delmar, DE, Marilyn J. Moore of Laurel, DE and Richard A. (Lou Ann) Lynch of Victor, NY.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00pm on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 South Main Street in Ovid. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 319 Pennsylvania Avenue in Trumansburg at 11:00am on Friday, March 4, 2016. Prayers of committal will be held at Ovid Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospicare of Tompkins County, 172 East King Road, Ithaca, NY 14850 or Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, 612 W State St, Ithaca, NY 14850
