J. Hohwald Deborah

Deborah J. Hohwald, ‶Shorty″, 64, of Lodi, NY, entered into eternal rest on October 26, 2016 after a life-long battle with diabetes and a multiyear battle with cancer.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 29, 2016, from 5:00-to 7:00pm at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 South Main Street, Ovid, New York

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Lodi Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James Yao of Lodi Presbyterian Church, officiating. Prayers of committal will be held Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Monday October 31, 2016 at 10:00am. Debbie was born in Geneva, New York on April 8, 1952. She went to school at South Seneca. She married Ken on October 10, 1981. She worked as a hostess/waitress at the family❜s restaurant, The Glenwood Pines in Ithaca, New York for nearly 30 years prior to retiring due to health concerns. She enjoyed traveling, was an avid collector, and looked forward to her time with family and friends.

Debbie will be lovingly remembered by her husband Kenneth, daughters Deanna Church, Chris Scott (David), Paula North (Todd), brothers Ron and John Parish, father Glenn Parish, Grandchildren J.J., William, Alex, Madison, Rylee, Hunter, Nikki, and Ari, numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Debbie is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Margaret and Bill Bretherton.
