J. Hayward, Meloney

Meloney J. Hayward, age 65, of 3062 County Road 143 in the Town of Lodi, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, 21, 2019.

Meloney was born in Charleston, South Carolina on July 8, 1953, a daughter of Charles A. and Eva (Woodard) Hayward. She graduated from Trumansburg High School and then enlisted in the US Army, where she proudly served her country for 2 years. Upon returning to the area, she went to work at Wilcox Press in Ithaca, and retired after 21 years of service. She was an avid gardener, landscaper and lover of nature.

She will be missed by her loving family, her mother, Eva Troutman of Interlaken; her siblings, Eugene Hayward of Ithaca, Gale Iavarone of Interlaken, Richey (Bernice) Hayward of Newfield; her nieces and nephews, Sydney and Sara Hayward, Anthony Iavarone and Brandon Hayward, and her best friend, Karla ‶Wind″ VanAuken.

At the request of Melony❜s family, there will be no public services.
