J. Bajdas Shirley

Shirley J. Bajdas, age 88, of Waterloo died Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital of Rochester, NY.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 South Main Street in Ovid. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church in Ovid at 10:00am on Monday, October 9, 2017. Prayers of committal will be at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Bajdas was born November 7, 1928 in Seneca Falls, NY. the daughter of the late Frank R. and the late Augusta (Howes) Albro. She married Joseph J. Bajdas on Febrary 13, 1954 at Newbury, Berkshire, England. Upon his discharge from the US Air Force, they established their home in Waterloo, and she was employed by Dr.❜s Y. Goel and R.S. Giugliano as a Medical Secretary for many years. Together Joe and Shirley enjoyed Round and Western Square dancing and extensive travel. Their meticulous home was the focal point of the family and many treasured memories.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Joseph J. Bajdas two sons: Michael Bajdas of Seneca Falls, NY and Bradley (Christine) Bajdas of Waterloo, NY; grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a brother, Dewey (Vonnie) Albro of Interlaken and their sons, Eric (Tina), Christopher (Suzie), and Douglas, along with Joe❜s large extended family.
