Theresa was born on October 23, 1944, a daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Dox) Harding. She has been a lifetime resident of the Ovid/Willard area, and completed nursing training at Marion S. Whelan School of Nursing in Geneva. She was an LPN, and had worked at Willard Psychiatric Center. For several years she worked at Trumansburg Family Health, where she developed special relationships with many of her co-workers and patients. Recently, Theresa had been elected to the Romulus Town Board, where she served as councilwoman. She was an active member in the ladies auxiliary of the Manning-Lilla American Legion Post #463 and the Arthur G. DePew VFW Post #6200, both in Ovid. Quick witted, fast with a BINGO dobber, and often with a sheepish grin, her presence was a welcomed sight at any function. Whether you knew her as Theresa, Beulah, Boola, or Tessie....one thing is for certain, you have treasured memories that will live fondly in your heart. Throughout her illness, she was deeply touched by the many acts of kindness shown to her and her family by such a caring and loving community.

Theresa is survived by her husband of 47 years; Thomas Jackson; her daughters; Mary (Greg) Kenyon, Debbie (Russ Smith) Jackson; three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Matthew, and Allison all of Ovid, and her siblings; Mary Anne Bellamy of Virginia, Charles (Barbara) Harding of Middleburgh, NY and Michael (Margaret) Harding of Myrtle Beach, SC. Theresa remained very close to the Harding and Dox families, many of whom survive her. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Harding.
