Jane M. (Rossi) Taylor

Jane M. Taylor, age 82, of Lodi passed away at Strong Memorial Hospital on Thursday, July 22, 2021.  All who knew and remember her will recall her sense of humor and infectious smile.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, July 31 at Covert Funeral Home in Ovid.  A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00am, at the funeral home. Jane was born in Seneca Falls on July 14, 1939, a daughter of the late Orlando and Agnes (Salotti) Rossi. She graduated from Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls in 1957. Jane worked at the Seneca Army Depot retiring as a freight rate specialist. She then was elected as the Village Clerk in Lodi, a position she held for 20 years.

Jane enjoyed sewing, making quilts, and cooking.

Jane is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jim L. Taylor; sister, Ann Cherney; sister in law, Dot Rossi; niece, Karen Wines (Bobby); and three nephews, Jim (Kathy), John (Andrea), Tom (Laura) Cherney; and several great and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Mike; and brother in law, Wayne Cherney.
