Janet Sue Shellenberger, age 63, of Halsey Lane, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, November 7, 2022.

Janet was born in Fort Hood, Texas on September 2, 1959, a daughter of the late Bill Sullivan and Madiline Sue Tucker, living throughout the country as she grew up in a military family. She had lived in Seneca County for many years, working in hospitality and customer service jobs, most recently at Buttonwood Winery in 2015 until her health forced an early retirement.  She truly loved her children and their families and had hoped to watch her grandchildren to grow up. She loved her animals as well as drawing/painting with her granddaughter Emmalee, she loved to read and collect fossil at Lodi point to make jewelry.

She is survived by her partner of 15 years, Steve Jackson of Lodi; her children, Jamie Teitelbaum of PA, Jesse Sullivan of Ovid, Jonathan and Barbara, Michiel Hollister of NJ, and Harlee (Elisa Armstrong) Sullivan-Utter of Ithaca; her grandchildren, Corey, Ryan, Emmalee, Zayah, Eugene and Ryder and her stepdaughter, Kelly Utter, Dale Hollister stepfather to Janet’s children and grandfather to grandchildren. Janet was preceded in death by her mother, her Grandma and Grandpa Tucker, and stepchildren, Teri and Steven Utter.

The family will receive friends at Covert Funeral Home in Ovid from 1:00 to 3:00pm on Sunday, November 13, 2022.  A Celebration of Life will be announced by the family at a later date.
