Janice E. (Hannon) Williamson

Janice E. Williamson passed away one week short of her 90th birthday at St. Ann’s Nursing Home in Rochester on Sunday, February 11, 2024.

Janice was born in Geneva on February 18, 1934, a daughter of the late Adam and Elizabeth (nee Matteson) Hannon. She was married to Harold Williamson at Fort Bragg, NC on December 8, 1951, and began working within the Wegmans Company in 1957, where eventually retired with 25 years of service. Janice and Harold loved to travel on their Gold Wing and later in their motorhome. Together they enjoyed wintering in Florida for several years after their retirement.

She leaves behind many years of happy memories and will be sadly missed by her loving children; Margaret Schue, Patricia (Al) DiFranco and Donald (Debra) Williamson, 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, her sisters; Karen (Mike) Vanderlyke, Laurie Webster, Linda Daniels, a brother; David (Roberta) Maier; and step-sister, Sandra Witkowski and many nieces and nephews.
