LODI-Jeffrey W. Frey, age 63, longtime resident of Shaw Road, died suddenly and unexpectedly at his home on the evening of January 30, 2025.

 

Jeff was born in Rochester on May 31, 1961, and was the son of William and Nancy Frey. He graduated from Irondequoit High School and attended Monroe Community College where he was an all-American swimmer. He worked at Monroe County parks department where he supervised Ellison Park, he then moved to Lodi and worked in numerous other heavy equipment operations. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, and a Son of the American Legion Post in Ovid. He had recently become a member of the Seneca Community Church and found great comfort in that decision. 

 

He is survived by his sons; Ben (Brittany) Frey of Lodi, Matthew (Megan) Frey of Locke, the mother of his children; Rachel Diamond, his grandchildren; Colton and Thea, a brother; Timothy Frey and his family of Rochester, and beloved dog Sadie. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, William (Friedchen) Frey and Nancy Irwin-Megher; and his forever love, Shari Westervelt. 

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Seneca Community Church in Romulus, on Tuesday, February 11, at 2:00pm followed by a gathering at the American Legion Post #463 in Ovid.
