Charles ‶Chuck″ Krebbeks of Romulus passed away at Westchester Medical Center on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the age of 71.

A Graveside Service with full military honors will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Sampson Veteran❜s Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks those that would like to make a contribution in Chuck❜s memory to kindly consider donating to his granddaughter❜s scholarship fund.

Chuck was born in Utica on September 17, 1945, a son of the late Fredrick and Eleanor (Diefenback) Krebbeks. After graduating from high school, Chuck joined the United States Navy where he honorably served his country from 1965 to 1968, and then the Navy Reserves until 1971. Chuck went to TC3❜s Nursing Program and was among one of the first men to graduate from the program. He worked for Willard Psychiatric Center until retiring in 1997 as a Registered Nurse.

Chuck was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and vintage knife collecting. He loved the Finger Lakes but had a special love for Cayuga Lake as it was his backyard and served as the backdrop for many beloved beach parties. Chuck was a member of the American Legion in Ovid and South Seneca Sportsman❜s Club.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 47 years, Belinda Krebbeks; a daughter, Kelly (Scott) Nichols; favorite granddaughter, Emma Marie Nichols; brother in law, John (Debra) DeLong; and sister in law, Penny (Patrick) Burke. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by a brother in law, Rick DeLong.
