L. Coney Nancy

Nancy L. Coney, age 57, of 9610 Lodi Center Road, passed away at the Hospicare Residence in Ithaca on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, following a cancer diagnosis last July.

Nancy was born in Montour Falls on April 14, 1960, a daughter of the late Julius ‶Jake″ and Beatrice (Elliott) Funk. She graduated from Watkins Glen High School and had worked at Atwater Estate Vineyard for several years. Nancy was an avid gardener, crafter, and loved to hunt for vintage jewelry at estate sales. Her family was very important to her, and she cherished her time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Charles L. Coney; her children, Shane M. Jennings of Lodi, Elishea G. Buckley of Hector, and Jessica L. (Joe) Mainville of Union Springs; her grandchildren, Shealie Buckley, Julia and Juniper Mainville; her sister, Diane (Keith) Kruger of Hector and their sons, Jeff and Travis; her mother in law, Viola Coney of Lodi and a host of cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Hector Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Barbara Schwartz, a reception will immediately follow at the church.
