L. Mason Emma

d. August 23, 2018

Emma L. Mason, age 68, longtime resident Lodi passed away at Rochester General Hospital on Thursday, August 23, 2018.

Emma was born in Johnson City, NY on September 1, 1949, the only child of the late Rev. Albert G. and Irene (Owens) Mason. She had received her Master❜s Degree in art therapy and had a long career with New York State, most recently as a habilitation specialist for the Office of People With Developmental Disabilities. Emma Mason was more than a loving mother and wife, she showed admiration and respect and an outpouring of affection to all lives that she touched. Her stubbornness and determination also reflected this, in someone's time of need she would be there to show her endearing and relentless support for whatever venture or undertaking they wished to pursue. Emma also inspired many people to find their inner voice and encouraged them to use that voice. No dream or aspiration was outlandish to her. She always made everyone in her path feel special in the way that only Emma could. As long as we hold her in our hearts and minds, her memory will live on through us, and her words of encouragement and support will forever be remembered.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, David E. Eames; and son, Brandon; her future daughter in law, Ashleigh, and number of loving friends and family that have always supported her.

An opportunity to openly share memories will be held at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 So. Main Street in Ovid, at 6:00pm on Saturday, September 1, 2018. The family will then host friends at the funeral home until 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Emma❜s memory to South Seneca Ambulance, 2011 State Route 96A, Ovid, NY 14521
