L. Miller Donna

Donna L. Miller, age 65, of 1999 Cayuga Street, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Geneva General Hospital.

The family will receive friends at Covert Funeral Home in Ovid, from 10:00am to Noon on Saturday, January 9, 2016. A Scripture Service will be held at the funeral home at Noon, officiated by Fr. Brandon Buckley, OFMCap. Prayers of committal will be held at Mount Green Cemetery in Romulus. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to Ronald McDonald House of Rochester or St. Judes Children❜s Hospital.

Donna was born on July 11, 1950, and was adopted by Leearn and Rose Marie Hilliard. She grew up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA and moved to the Romulus area nearly 35 years ago. She had worked as an administrative assistant at Geneva General Hospital, supporting the staff of the Living Centers. She then worked for Finger Lakes DDSO, at various group residence facilities, retiring from the Dresden location. Donna❜s life was easily summarized by her need to take care of her ‶babies″...that included her children, grandchildren, neighborhood kids and anyone that needed her supportive care as ‶Mommy″. She truly lived each day as a gift, lovingly tending to the needs of everyone around her.

Donna is survived by her children; Ronald Miller II of Rochester, NY, Holly (Jim) Myers of Hedrick, IA, Rachel (Tim Jones) Miller of Ithaca and Jackie (Joshua) Cole of Elmira and 16 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald J. Miller Sr. in 2002, a grandson, Zachary Miller in 2004 and by a son, Alan J. Miller Sr. in 2015.
