Robert L. ‶Bob″ Walters, age 80, of 1622 Lodi Point Road, died peacefully at home, under the loving care of his family.
Bob was born in Rochester on March 28, 1935, the only son of the late Lawrence and Marion (Liese) Walters. He entered the US Navy Reserves and came to the Waterloo area, where he started a long career at the former Hartman❜s Metal Fabricators, working 27 years there as a machinist. He was married to Miss Barbara Wetzel on December 31, 1956, and from their marriage came six children. They were very active in the Waterloo community, which included being a founding member of the North Seneca Ambulance and a little league coach. His family vacationed in the Adirondacks, and he enjoyed cooking, woodworking and classic cars. Bob was generous to all he met with his time, resources, knowledge, and sense of humor. He was a lover of life.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara and their children; Robin Morganti of Homer, Christopher Walters of Scappoose, OR, Jeffrey (Dawn) Walters of Waterloo, Timothy (Carrie) Walters of Lodi, Paul Walters of Richmond, VA and Holly Hunt of Romulus; his adored grandchildren, Andrea (Julie Niederhofer) Morganti, Rachel (Tony) Prosser, Tiffany (Jordan) Parish, Jonathan (Alisha) Koeberle, Joshua (Heather) Koeberle, Robert H. Walters, Kendall Walters, Shealynne, Donovan and Cullan Riley; and his loving great grandchildren, Mark Niederhofer, Ava Parish, Rohen Koeberle, June Parish and Maelynne Koeberle.
