L. Fuhry Tammy

Tammy Lee Swartz Fuhry, 48, passed away peacefully at Geneva General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends, on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.

Tammy was born on February 2, 1967 in Rochester, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William S. Swartz Sr. She attended Nazareth Academy. Throughout her spontaneous life she achieved a CNA and phlebotomist license and worked for the American Red Cross. She also worked as an assistant manager at Burger King in Seneca Falls. Tammy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was the sunshine in many people's lives and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Mark R. Fuhry; her children, Courtney O'Dell and Mark R. Fuhry II of Ovid; her parents, William and Sharon Swartz Sr.; maternal grandmother Deloras Empey all of Rochester; her siblings, William (Tammy) Swartz Jr. of Hilton, Michelle (Anthony) Farrell of Rochester, Bryan (Elyse) Swartz of Caledonia, and Melissa (Gianfranco) Natoli of Hamlin; her mother-in-law, Julia Fuhry of Rochester; 10 nieces and nephews and one great nephew Bentley Vega; in addition to a large extended family.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, (November 20, 2015) at Christ Lutheran Church, 7966 County Road 153, Interlaken, NY. A funeral service will be held there at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Keith Campbell for reflection and remembrance. Prayers of committal will be held at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Romulus.
