Lylia Lee Clawson

Lylia Lee Clawson, age 85, formerly of Lodi, passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on February 4, 2024.

Lylia Lee was born in Lodi on August 27, 1938, a daughter of the late Stanley and Ruth (nee VanVleet) Clawson.  She was a graduate of Interlaken High School and the Willard School of Nursing. Lylia Lee moved to New York City, where she remained for over 40 years, working in various fields of nursing, most important to her was the ability to bring services to underserved communities and providing health education. In her spirit of giving, Lylia Lee was able to help others by the gift of tissue donation after her death. She returned to the area in 2000, making her home in Trumansburg.

She is survived by her siblings; Ina Jo of Bridport, VT, Noel and Ted, Town of Lodi, Ted’s extended family, cousins and her special friend of many decades, Karen Sabia of Newark.
