Edna M. Rosbaugh, age 90, formerly of Grove Street in Lodi, passed away at Geneva Living Center North on Saturday, September 9, 2017.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Covert Funeral Home in Ovid. A Memorial Service will then follow at 2:00pm, officiated by Rev. Barbara Schwartz of the Lodi Presbyterian Church, prayers of committal will be held at West Lodi Cemetery. Edna was born in Waterloo on July 8, 1927, a daughter of the late Sherman and Rose (Huntley) Tobey. She graduated from Ovid Central School and was married to Nelson Rosbaugh Jr. on January 26, 1946. Edna was very active in local politics and had served on the Village of Lodi Board of Trustees for more than 20 years, many of which she was the Deputy Mayor, she was a member of the former Lodi Methodist Church and the Lodi Fire Company Auxiliary. Edna❜s unconditional love and adoration was shown to her children and grandchildren, in addition to her extended family and friends. Her home was open to everyone, a true example of her kind and loving spirit.
Edna is survived by her son, Tim (Valerie) Rosbaugh of Hector, a granddaughter, AmyJo White of Fairport and her children, Brooke and Temo; a sister, Betty Steverson of Jamestown, NY and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Nelson ‶Junior″ in 2011; by her daughter, Susie Cordon in 2012; her grandson, Christopher Rosbaugh in 2016; and by her siblings, Sherman Tobey and Josephine Edwards.
