M. Church Grace

Grace M. Church, age 81, of Ovid passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, October 20, 2015.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Ovid Union Cemetery in Ovid.

Grace was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania on December 5, 1933, a daughter of the late George and Pearl (Levengood) Dooley. She worked for many years in food service at Willard Psychiatric Center and walked a paper delivery route throughout Ovid. Grace also was very involved with her husband❜s catering service, Lenny❜s Catering, where she could be found doing everything from prep work to washing dishes. Grace enjoyed watching Dancing with the Stars, Family Feud, and NASCAR routing for the late Dale Earnhardt and most recently Joey Lagano. A talented knitter, Grace would knit slippers for all her clients on her paper route for Christmas and made a variety of items for her grandchildren and great grandchildren including hats and sweaters. She would often sit on her front porch waving to neighbors and visiting with the many people that would stop by to say hello.

Grace is survived by her husband, Leonard C. Church Sr.; five children, Barbara (JR) Ingandello, Theresa (Rick) Church, Leonard (Sally) Church Jr., William Church, and Melodie (David) Post; 21 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; brother, Edward (Shirley) Dooley; and sister, Elizabeth Sisk. Special Thanks to her favorite baker, Karen. In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Church in 1955; a son Danny Church in 1994; a great grandson, Joseph Church in 2013; son in law Tony Ingandello in 2001; and several brothers and sisters. The pallbearers for her service will include her grandchildren David Ingandello; Michael Church; Daniel Ingandello; April Twarkins; Kim Kendall; Monica Siccardi; Kristal Cozetti; and great grandson, Almond Murray.
